After catching up on Elleiras blog at the new URL, I came across her post where she mentioned making 20k gold in the last 3 weeks using Kyrilean’s guide over at Casual Hardcore. I thought about picking up Inscription as my second profession on my Druid now that Alchemy is done and after reading this I’ll most likely be picking it up when I get home from work today. I like having money, what can I say?
Powerleveling Alchemy up to 440ish without picking a single herb put a 2000g dent in my wallet. I’m still around 1600g which is OK but none of my professions are there to make me any money, so without doing dailies over and over again on 3 different 80’s, I think I’ll take the Inscription approach and try to work the market over on Thrall. Even if I don’t rake in 20k gold in the next 3 weeks like Elleiras, I’m sure I’ll make more than I do now standing around doing nothing.
With the herb market inflating for the old world herbs, I will most likely just pick up Herbalism on my lowbie DK and level it up to Outlands level, then continue farming those herbs on my Warlock. I have another option of paying $55 IRL to transfer my 70 Draenei Mage to Thrall and make her a Hordie. Our old Alliance guild bank is FULL of herbs that my wife and I (OK, mostly the wife) stockpiled to pick up Inscription for WOTLK but we re-rolled Horde before then, leaving all of those herbs to collect dust. I’ve got the spare cash to do it now but I’m still contemplating.

20k in 3 weeks. Thats it? When I was farming for my chopper and my tundra mammoth I made roughly 28.5k gold in a week and a half. Ask Laeyla, I’m not lying. Which is why I’m having a hard time with money with just one my professions on Thrall.

Wont let me edit that last comment. I meant to say that was with farming herbs and inscribing. All decks and glyphs bulls in the cash.
